  I have been a repeat customer over the past 4 years. Each year, my bill comes to about $300. I called before my appointment, to make sure my total would be approximately the same this year. They said "most likely". I had no major purchases or life changes over the previous year. After completing my taxes, the preparer told me my total came to over $500. I was shocked to hear of the 60% increase from the previous year. (I also didn't have a state tax return filed). The total preparation time was less than one hour. I asked if there was a military discount. They did not have one (this year). I asked to speak with the manager. 3 times, she was not in. I made an appointment to see the manager. When I showed up, she was not there either. They had just scheduled an appointment with my tax preparer, who could not make any price adjustments. It was a total waste of time again. I just took all my documents back, and I am going to Liberty (who offers a 30% discount). There is no reason that a tax package that take less than 1 hour to prepare should cost $500. Borderline criminal. Poor customer service. Outrageous price.
